The "Chinese power" in the flood! Carter excavator opens the lifeline of Brazil's disaster area in 72 hours

In May 2024, southern Brazil suffered a severe flood that was once unseen in a century, causing major casualties and infrastructure damage. After the disaster, China's leading engineering machinery enterprises responded quickly, organized professional equipment and personnel to rush to the disaster area, and fully participated in the post-disaster reconstruction work. During this rescue operation, XCMG Group urgently dispatched more than 30 heavy equipment, including XE370DK excavators and XCT80L6 cranes. With its outstanding swamp passing capacity and stable performance, road siltation and ruin cleaning work were carried out in hard-hit areas such as Port Alegre. Sany Heavy Industry has sent the newly developed SY5350THB pump truck and electric excavator SY19E to play an important role in the construction of temporary resettlement points. These Chinese-made engineering machinery and equipment have shown three outstanding advantages in post-disaster reconstruction: first, excellent working conditions adaptability, and continuous and stable operation under complex terrain conditions; second, efficient operation capabilities, and the average daily workload of a single equipment far exceeds the local average; third, the degree of intelligence is high, and accurate scheduling is achieved through remote monitoring systems. According to statistics from the Brazilian Ministry of Infrastructure, China's construction machinery has completed a total of 850,000 cubic meters of silt cleaning work and repaired 37 kilometers of main roads, providing strong support for the reconstruction of the disaster area. This rescue operation not only demonstrates the hard power of China's manufacturing, but also reflects the international responsibility of Chinese companies.
